What’s New at Burns Tobacconist, April 25, 2015

Another week, another batch of great new stuff available at Burns Tobacconist…let’s dive in!

Nat Sherman TAA

PanamericanaLate last year, Nat Sherman introduced the Panamericana as an exclusive cigar for its flagship Townhouse store in Manhattan. Now the rest of the country gets in on the action…at least they do if they are a Tobacconist Association of America shop!

Luckily Burns is a member of the TAA and yesterday we received our shipment of Nat Sherman TAA Panamericanas. Initial reaction to these smokes has been great and I can personally attest that this is the fullest bodied cigar I’ve had that wears the Nat Sherman label.

They aren’t sacrificing flavor for body, though…this blend is delicious! It is made in Estelí, Nicaragua by the Plasencia Family using a blend of aged Nicaraguan and Costa Rican leaf, along with a dark Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.

We have four sizes available, with plenty of 10-count boxes in 3 of those sizes.

La Aurora Preferido Coronas

Corona_trayLast week I told you that we received the La Aurora Preferidos in Corona vitolas, available in 6 wrapper varieties, at Burns East.

I’m happy to report that they are now available Downtown as well. At $6.99 apiece, these are a steal! Get hold of them while you can!

La Barba

LaBarba_PurpleLast year we got La Barba Red in at Burns East and it sold quickly until it disappeared (maybe forever!). We’ve been hearing about “Purple” for a while…and it finally arrived.

This blend was done at the Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic, with the help of Robert Caldwell and Henderson Ventura. It uses rare “Carbonell” tobacco in the filler, along with some Dominican Corojo and HVA Habano, a Corojo binder, and an HVA Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf. We just have one size currently at Burns East; if you like them, let us know and we’ll try to bring in more!

We have several new items from the Xikar catalog:

First up is the new M8 cutter…

X8_metalXIKAR’s classic double guillotine cutter now has a more refined look and feel. The M8 maintains the same size, quality and performance that cigar smokers expect from XIKAR, but delivers it in a new metal body. The M8 features stainless steel blades for a smooth and clean cut every time. It’s the perfect combination of style and performance.

The M8 can handle up to 70 ring gauge cigars, making it ideal for larger ring gauges.

Then we have the Turrim and Cirro lighters…

TurrimThe all new 5×64 Turrim™ is a tall, robust and unique double jet flame lighter. Its versatile cylindrical shape allows for easy portability in a cigar slot inside your travel case or as a durable table top lighter. Its massive fuel tank and oversized, ratcheting fuel adjustment wheel are revolutionary to the cigar industry.

CirroThe all new Cirro™ lighter is taking cigar smoking to new heights. This high altitude lighter works at up to 12,000 feet above sea level and features a windproof flame. Its elegant metal body and high altitude performance make it great for any lifestyle, at any elevation.
