What’s New at Burns, September 30

It’s been another hectic couple weeks with new products coming into the shop, so let’s dive in…

Blind Man’s Bluff

BMBThe latest creation from Robert Caldwell is the Blind Man’s Bluff, made up of some of the best Honduran and Dominican tobaccos you’ll find and made in the same Honduran factory that makes Camacho.

This stick is medium-plus in body and has lots of earthy note, with a great balance of spice and sweeter flavors, as well. Three sizes are available right now and they are all less than $10 each.

El Gueguense

GueguensePronounce it like this: Way-When-Say. But no matter how you say it, this is simply one of the most anticipated cigars of 2015. Nicholas Melillo is the “man behind the leaf” who blended some of your all-time favorite Drew Estate products, like the Liga Privada and Dirty Rat…now he’s created the Foundation Cigar Company.

Their first release is based on a very old Nicaraguan folk tale about “The Wise Man.” It is a Nicaraguan puro made from Criollo 98 and Corojo 99 tobaccos from Jalapa and Estelí regions. This is a very tasty medium-plus bodied smoke that you really have to try.

HVC Cigars

HVCCerroReinier Lorenzo created the HVC Cigar line two years ago, working in the Casa Fernandez factory in Nicaragua. We have now picked up The City, Cerro, and Edición Especial 2015, all of which are excellent blends ranging from medium to full in body. We expect great things from this company over the next few years…get in on it now!

La Nox

LaNoxThe latest and greatest from La Flor Dominicana is called La Nox (the night). It is a very dark cigar blended by Tony Gomez, son of brand founder, Litto Gomez. The blend uses Dominican fillers (including Pelo de Oro), a Mexican San Andres binder, and a very dark Brazilian wrapper leaf.

So far, this smoke is available in just a single size (6-1/2″ x 50) in 10 count round boxes.

In stock at Burns East right now and hitting Burns Downtown very soon.

Syncro

SyncroThe first time Avo Cigars has used Nicaraguan tobacco in a regular production cigars AND the first time they have done a box-press in a regular release is finally here…Avo Syncro. This stick uses a dark Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and Dominican binder, but then uses Nicaraguan (Ometepe), Dominican and Peruvian fillers. This is a truly complex and compelling cigar.
